RESOLUTION NO. 7 6 5 7 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FOR <br /> PAYING EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Redlands has the authority to <br /> implement Government Code Section 20636(c) (4) pursuant to Section 20691; and <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of Redlands has a written labor policy <br /> or agreement which specifically provides for the normal member contributions to be paid by <br /> the employer; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the steps in the procedures to implement Section 20691 is the <br /> adoption by the City Council of the City of Redlands of a resolution to coimneance paying <br /> said Employer Paid Member Contributions (EPMC); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has identified the following <br /> conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC: <br /> This benefit shall apply to "classic" members of PERS as defined by Ca1PERS <br /> hired prior to March 11, 2010, of the Redlands Association of Department <br /> Directors (RADD), Redlands Association of Management Employees (RAMS), <br /> Redlands Association of Mid-Management Employees (RAMME), and General <br /> Employees Association of Redlands (GEAR). <br /> - Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after September-3, 2013, <br /> the benefit shall consist of paying four percent (4%) of non-nal contributions <br /> for RAMS, RAMME, and GEAR members as EPMC. <br /> Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after July 1, 2014, the <br /> benefit shall consist of paying two percent (2%) of normal contributions for <br /> RAME, RAMME, and GEAR members as EPMC. <br /> - Effective the first payroll commencing on or after January 1, 2015, the benefit <br /> shall consist of paying zero percent (0%) of non-nal contributions for RAME, <br /> RAMME, and GEAR members as EPMC. <br /> - Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after April 15, 2014, the <br /> benefit shall consist of paying six percent (6%) of normal contributions for safety <br /> members and four percent (4%) for miscellaneous R ADD members as EPMC. <br /> Effective the first payroll period commencing on or after July 1, 2014, the benefit <br /> shall consist of paying four percent (4%) of normal contributions for safety <br /> members and two percent (2%) for miscellaneous R A D D members as EPMC. <br /> I:1cc1erk\Reso1utions\Res 7600-769917657 Paying EPW.doc <br />
