ORDINANCE NO. 2839 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE <br /> REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING <br /> MAP (ZONE CHANGE NO. 455) <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Goveriunent Code section 65855, the Planning <br /> Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No. 455 (the <br /> "Zone Change") to change the zoning designation of approximately 0.35 acres of a split- <br /> zoned parcel from R-S (Suburban Residential) District to C-1 (Neighborhood Stores) <br /> District located at the southeast conger of Lakeside Avenue and Brookside Avenue.; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 12, 2016, the Planning Commission held a noticed public <br /> hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, <br /> the applicant for the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the public; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that <br /> the Zone Change be approved; and <br /> WHEREAS on August 25, 2016, notice of this City Council's public hearing for <br /> the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and <br /> WHEREAS, on September 6, 2016, the City Council held a public hearing and <br /> considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Pla>uiing <br /> Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the <br /> applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and <br /> WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City <br /> Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council detennined that <br /> adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and <br /> general welfare; <br /> Section 1. The zoning designation for approximately 0.35 acres of a split-zoned <br /> parcel, located at the southeast corner of Lakeside Avenue and Brookside Avenue, is <br /> hereby changed from the R-S (Suburban Residential) District to C-1 (Neighborhood <br /> Stores) District on the City's Land Use Zoning Map as more particularly shown on the <br /> map attached hereto as Exhibit "A." <br /> 1:1cc1erWrdinances\Nos 2800-2899 in Word12839 Zone Change No 455.doc � <br />
