SIDE LETTER To CURRENT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDLANDS ANDTHE REDLANDS <br /> ASSOCIATION OF SAFETY MANAGEMENT, EMPLOYEES (RASME) <br /> Holiday Pay Cash Out <br /> Article 13 of the current agreement between the City of Redlands and the Redlands <br /> Association of Safety Management Employees (RASME) allows for holidays not taken to be <br /> "banked" and paid off during January of each year. Per CCR Section 571(a) a written policy <br /> must exist which indicates the conditions of this type of special payment. <br /> Article 13 shall be amended to include,the following (added language in italics): <br /> Association members may opt to "bank" these holidays at the rate of ten (10) hours per each <br /> holiday and be paid for them! in January of the following, year. Holidays shall be, paid at the <br /> rote of pay app,licable to the shift to which the employee is regularly assigned and shall include <br /> supplemental pay(POST certification pay) which may apply to the specific officer. <br /> The City will report to CaIPERS the Holiday Cash Out amounts. This amount is derivedfrom an <br /> employee's left over Holiday Cash Out amount and paid at regular rate, which includes base <br /> payrate and POST Certification pay.
