Riverside t California. <br /> To the Honorable City Council <br /> of they City of Redlands <br /> Redlands, California <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> California Electric Power Company.9 an electrical public utility <br /> doing business in the CowA y of San Bernardino and elsewhere in the state <br /> of Californias, with its principal place of business in the City of Riverside, <br /> hereby respectfully makes application to the City Council of the City of <br /> Redlands$ California, for the license and privilege to construct, maintain, <br /> operate and use an 88,000 volt,aluminum conductor, wood pole supported= <br /> electric transmission line,,. and also an operating telephone line supported <br /> by the transmission line poles, to be constructed, owned, maintained and <br /> operated by said Power Company upon, over and across the lend and real <br /> property of the City of Redlands, situate in San Bernardino County, California, <br /> and described as Lots 2 and 39 Block 269 of Menton, as shown by map thereof, <br /> commonly,known as Menton Stretch Maps recorded in Book 8 of ]daps, page 819 <br /> records of San Bernardino Countys California. <br /> Said electric transmission line and operating telephone line are to <br /> be constructed, maintained and operated upon and across the herein described <br /> land and real property of the City of Redlands, upon, over and along the <br /> following described center line, to-v.1t: <br /> Beginning on the east line of said Lot 3s Block 26s at a <br /> point whence the southwest corner of said Lot 3 bears <br /> south 1° 10 20" west 209 feet, and running thence due <br /> west a distance of 260 feets more or less, to a point on <br /> the west line of said Lot 29 Block 26s as shown in red on <br /> the printed map or plat hereto attached and made a part of <br /> this application. <br /> The electric transmission line and operating telephone line for which <br /> the license and permit is herein sought, are part of the applicant companyts <br /> transmission line extending between the Companyts City of San Bernardino elec- <br /> tric substation and its electric substation in the City of Banning,, and are <br /> used for and in connection with providing electric energy and service to the <br /> City of Banning and the general public easterly of said city. By reason of <br /> the deteriorated condition of that part of said lines shorn in green on the <br /> attached map or plat, the Applicant Company is proposing to reconstruct the <br /> same, and in order to avoid interference with trees and houses under and in <br /> close proximity to the said lines as they now exist, and to avoid having <br /> said lines on the State Highway, Applicant Company desires and is planning to <br /> reroute such part of said lines to another locations as shown on the attached <br /> plat* <br /> Said proposed transmission line and operating telephone line will be <br /> supported by 60 foot and 75 foot full treated wood poles, and in all respects <br /> will be constructed, maintained and operated in accordance -fa=ith the require- <br /> ments of General Order Noo 95 of the California Railroad Co=iesion and the <br /> I�L'i " a i; 17�(-b <br />
