RESOLUTION NO 7730 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br /> INSTITUTING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE CONTINUED LEVY OF <br /> ASSESSMENTS, APPOINTING AN ASSESSMENT ENGINEER, AND <br /> ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF AN ENGINEER'S REPORT IN THE <br /> MATTER OF LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO I <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council of the City of Redlands(this "City <br /> Council"), that the public interest, convenience and necessity requires the manitenance of <br /> landscaping as set forth m Section 22525 of the California Streets and Highways Code, and <br /> WHEREAS, this City Council has forinned Redlands' Landscape Maintenance District No <br /> 1 to pay the costs foi the maintenance such landscaping, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of this City Council to initiate proceedings and order the <br /> preparation of an engineer's report to levy assessments for the fiscal year 2017-2018 upon <br /> properties located within Landscape Maintenance District No 1, and <br /> WHEREAS, this City Council further desires to appoint Redlands' Assistant City <br /> Engineer, Michael Pool, RCE 49585, as the "Assessment Engineer" for Landscape Maiitenance <br /> District No 1, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows <br /> Section 1 That the public interest, convenience and necessity requires the continued <br /> levy of assessments within Landscape Maiitenance District No 1 for the purpose of maintaining <br /> landscaping and improvements as authorized by Section 22620 of the California Streets and <br /> Highways Code and m compliance with the requirements of Article XIIID and Section 19 of <br /> Article XVI of the California Constitution <br /> Section 2 That the properties to be assessed for the maintenance and operation of the <br /> landscaping and improvements shall be those pioperties located within the boundaries of <br /> Landscape Maintenance District No 1 <br /> Section 3 That the proceedings for the continued levy of assessments within <br /> Landscape Maintenance District No 1 shall be conducted in accordance with provisions of <br /> Division 15 of the California Streets and Highways Code (the Landscaping and Lighting Act of <br /> 1972) and in compliance with the requirements of Article XIIID and Section 19 of Article XVI of <br /> the California Constitution <br /> Section 4 That Redlands' Assistant City Engineer, Michael Pool, RCE No 49585, <br /> having an office at 35 Capon Street, Suite 15A, Redlands, California, is hereby appointed <br /> 1 <br /> 1 Icclerk\Resolutions\Res 7700 7799/7730 LMD Appoint Engineer 5 16 17 docx <br />
