ORDINANCE NO 2853 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTERS 2 24, 2 36, 2 48, AND 2 50 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE CITY OF REDLANDS' HISTORIC AND SCENIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION, PLANNING COMMISSION, TRAFFIC AND PARKING COMMISSION, AND CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS Section 1 Chapter 2 24 of the Redlands Municipal Code relating to the City's Historic and Scenic Preservation Commission is hereby amended by the addition of section 2 24 042, entitled "Forfeiture of Membership by Absence," to read as follows "Section 2 24 042 Forfeiture of Membership by Absence Any member of the Coinimssion who absents himself or heiself from any three consecutive regular meetings of the Coininission, unless excused from such absence by consent of the Commission expiessed by action recorded in its inn-rates, shall there by automatically forfeit his or her position as a member of the Commission immediately after adjoununent of any such thn d consecutive meeting at which such member has not appeared The chairperson or secretary of the Commission shall thereupon, within three (3)business days, notify ii writing the City Council, and any such person so ceasing to be a member of the Coininission, of such fact, whereupon the vacancy so created shall be filled by appointment pursuant to section 2 24 040 of this Chapter" Section 2 Chapter 2 36 of the Redlands Municipal Code relating to the City's Planning Coininission is hereby amended by the addition of section 2 36 025, entitled "Forfeiture of Membership by Absence,"to read as follows "Section 2 36 022 Forfeiture of Membership by Absence Any member of the Coinimission who absents himself or herself from any three consecutive regular ineetings of the Commission, unless excused from such absence by consent of the Commission expressed by action recorded in its minutes, shall there by automatically forfeit his or her position as a member of the Commission immediately after adjourninent of any such third consecutive inecting at which such member has not appeared The chairperson or secretary of the Conunission shall thereupon, within three (3) business days, notify in writing the City Council, and any such person so ceasing to be a member of the Commission, of such fact, whereupon the vacancy so created shall be filled by appointment pursuant to section 2 36 020 of this Chapter" Section 3 Chapter 2 48 of the Redlands Municipal Code relating to the City's Traffic and Parking Coininission is hereby amended by the addition of section 2 48 025, entitled "Forfeiture of Membership by Absence," to iead as follows "Section 2 48 022 Forfeiture of Meinbeiship by Absence Any member of the Commission who absents himself or herself from any three consecutive regulai meetings of the Comi,nission, unless excused fiom such absence by consent of the Conunission expressed by I lcclerkl0rdinances\Nos2800 2899 in Word12853 Commission.doex
