, RR DINANCE N0. ►5 An Ordinance of the City of Redlands Relating to Subdivisions of Tracts of Land The Board of. Trustees of the City. °I` Redlands do ordain as follows Section 1 It shall be unlawful fol any person to sell, or contract for sale, any lot or lots in any subdivision or tract of land within said city here a1`tCi laid out into lots, until the own ci or owners thereof shall cause to be made out and filed with the City Clerk of said Clty, an accurate mal) of flat thereof with an endorsement Of acceptance thereon by the Clerk of said City Section n The Cler1; of said City Shall endorse such acceptance upon] any such map or plat whenever di- '*acted so to da by the Board of Trus tees of said City Section 2. Before any such ac- ceptance shall be directed to be en- dorsed, the following conditions must Ebe complied with by the ownei of i owners of such tract or subdivision to-wit First All n�streets And avenues,' pEatted upon �rrry such map or plat: 1 must be located thereon so as to con f form, as nearly, as practicable in width and in etih'tinuation of bound ary Eines, with the streets and ave- nues platted upon adjoining tracts of subdivisions. Second All streets and avenues Matted thereon must be graded to the official grade, it established otherwise to the grade furnished by the City Rm gineer and all such streets and ave I nues must be oiled to the satisfaction of said Board, Third Curbs and gutters inust be constructed upon that part of all streets and 'avenues abutting next to the lots so platted, and al[ to be sof constructed in accordance with speci fications for like work adopted by said city and upon grades furnished by said City Ungincei Fourth. In place of complying with the foregoing conditions, the otvnel of such subdivision or tract may de posit with the Street Sllperintenclent, of said City III money -an amount Snl' ficient to enable said Street Superiii tendent to do all of said work above provided which amount shall be de- termined by said Board If said wort; is not thereafter fully- completed to tie satisfaction of said Street Super- intendent by such owner after the acceptance of such map, the said Street Superintendent shall proceed io do said work or such part thereof : nz; shall not have been so completed, and use said money of such pari thereof as may be necessary for the payment of said work, and the bal ii ante remaining, if any, shall be paid I over to such Owner Section 4 Said Board may, by resolution, require other or different work than thatt herein provided ill j which case such other or different i work shall be done before any ac ceptance of city such mal) Section 5.
