ORDINANCE NO 2845 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING MAP (ZONE CHANGE NO 448) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS WHEREAS, in accoidance with Goveimnent Code section 65855, the Plarming Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No 448 (the "Zone Change") to change the City's land use zoning snap fi-om the R-1 (Single Family Residential) District to R-2 (Multiple Family Residential) District for approximately 4 72 acres of property located on the southwest cornei of Texas Street and Lugonia Avenue, and WHEREAS, on January 24, 2017, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant foi the proposed Zone Change, and testimony fiom meinbers of the public, and WHEREAS, the Plarining Commission has recommended to the City Council that the Zone Change be approved, and WHEREAS on September 8, 2017, notice of this City Council's public hearing for the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Cleik, and WHEREAS, on September 19, 2017, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the reconunendation of the Plaiming Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by mernbers of the public, and WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City Council provided opportunity foi public testimony, the City Council determined that adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and genei al welfare, Section 1 The zoning designation for approximately 4 72 acres of property, southwest corner of Texas Street and Lugonia Avenue, is heieby changed from the R-1 (Single Family Residential) District to the R-2 (Multiple Family Residential) District on the City's Land Use Zoning Map as more particulai ly shown on the snap attached hereto as Exhibit "A " Section 2 The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, of a summary of it, to be published once 1 I Icc1crkl0rdtnances\Nos 2800 2899 in Word12845 Zone Change 448 doe
