RESOLUTION NO. 7820 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />AUTHORIZING COMMITMENT OF A FIFTY PERCENT (50%) LOCAL MATCH FROM THE AIR <br />QUALITY IMPROVEMENT FUND 221 FOR THE CITY'S APPLICATION TO THE LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT PARTICIPATION PROGRAM FUNDED BY THE MOBILE SOURCE AIR <br />POLLUTION REDUCTION REVIEW COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee ("MSRC") has <br />made available The Local Government Participation program to support implementation of the South <br />Coast Air Quality Management District's 2016 Air Quality Management Plan ("AQMP") by focusing <br />MSRC investments on AQMP measures; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redlands ("City") Senior Services Division operates a senior <br />transportation program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has a strategic goal to add and/or replace alternative fuel vehicles for the <br />City's fleet to reduce carbon emissions incurred as a result of operations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has established Fund 221 for Air Quality Improvement and receives an <br />annual allocation of funds from South Coast Aix Quality Management District; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has committed to providing the community with opportunities to increase <br />sustainable environmental practices; and <br />WHEREAS, based on fund balances in Fiscal Year 2017-18, the Air Quality Improveiment Fund <br />will have sufficient funds for the $87,306 match amount; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby: <br />A. Approves the filing of an application for the MSRC's Clean Transportation Funding <br />2017 Local Govermnent Partnership Grant Program (the "Grant Program"); and <br />B. Authorizes the Mayor, or any member of the City Council, to execute on behalf of the <br />City all necessary applications, certifications, agreements and amendments for the <br />Grant Program; and <br />C. Appoints the Quality of Life Director, and his designee, to complete and submit all <br />documents, including but not limited to applications, payment requests, progress <br />reports which may be necessary for the Grant program; and <br />D.
