RESOLUTION NO. 7788 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />APPROVING CALTRANS FREEWAY AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, <br />OR ANY COUNCIL MEMBER, TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, Route I-10 has been declared to be a freeway by resolution of the California <br />Highway Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Caltrans and the City have previously entered into various agreements <br />regarding the portion of I-10 running through the City; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the mutual desire of Caltrans and the City to enter into an updated <br />Freeway Agreement in accordance with the revised plan of said freeway; and <br />WHEREAS, the provisions of Section 100.22 of the Streets and Highway Code have been <br />complied with; and <br />WHEREAS, this action is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />because it is not a "Project' as defined by CEQA and therefore not subject to CEQA pursuant to <br />section 15060(c)(3). As defined in Section 15378(a), a "Project" means the whole of an action, <br />which has a potential for resulting in either a direct physical change in the environment, or a <br />reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment. The requested action is to <br />adopt a Resolution approving a Freeway Agreement with the California Department of <br />Transportation and authorizing the Mayor, or other Councilmember, to execute the agreement on <br />behalf of the City, actions which will have no material impact on the environment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDLANDS as follows: <br />Section 1. Approves a new Freeway Agreement between Caltrans and the City for <br />route I-10 between Mountain View Avenue and Wabash Avenue; and <br />Section 2. Appoints the Mayor of the City of Redlands, or other council member, as <br />agent to execute and submit aforementioned Freeway Agreement. <br />ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th day of March, 2018. <br />c �' ('J - <br />Paul W.
