On motion of Councilman Burroughs, <br /> Utilities <br /> • Agreement seconded by Councilman Ward, the Mayor was authorized to execute said agreement on behalf <br /> No. 10251-A <br /> Resolution of the City. Resolution No. 2153, a resolution of the City of Redlands concerning the <br /> No. 2153 <br /> foregoing agreement, adopted on motion of Councilman Burroughs, seconded by Councilman Ward. <br /> Resolution No. 2152, a resolution of intention of the City of Redlands to order the vacation <br /> C <br /> CC Resolution of portions of First Street, Citrus Avenue, and Second Street in the City of Redlands, <br /> ?r No. 2152 <br /> presneted and adopted on motion of Councilman Burroughs, seconded by Councilman Wilson, <br /> CC <br /> with public hearing thereon set for October 3, 1961 at 7:00 P.M. <br /> A request to call for bids on six automobiles for the City was not acted upon at this time. <br /> Bids on <br /> automobiles Councilman Wilson suggested a delay of at least two weeks to enable the dealers to obtain <br /> more information about the new models available as well as the most advantageous prices. <br /> The Council unanimously concurred with this suggestion. <br /> CITY MANAGER <br /> Authorization to offer for sale an old fireengine - a 1922 Seagrave - was requested. <br /> The Council felt that the old piece of equipment might have more historical than cash value <br /> and decided to keep it at the present time. <br /> Assistant Manager Merritt told the Council that it is the recommendation of Stone and <br /> Proposed Youngberg, Financial Consultants in connection with the sewerage improvement program, that <br /> ordinance - <br /> New sewer a new schedule of connection charges be set up by ordinance. On motion of Councilman <br /> connection <br /> charges Burroughs, seconded by Councilman Ward, the City Attorney and the Director of Public <br /> Works were directed to draft the necessary ordinance and present it for introduction and <br /> study at the next Council meeting. <br /> Mr. Merritt read a letter from the Crafton Water Company concurring with the action taken <br /> Grafton by the City Council at the regular meeting of August 7, 1961. This refers to the diversion , <br /> Water Co. - <br /> (Mill Creek of the open flow of the Mill Creek Zanja through the City's filter plant in order to elimi- i <br /> Zanja) <br /> nate the loss of water and the City' s proposal at that time to defer action until April 1, <br /> 1962, and that the Fish Hatchery and the Mill Creek property owners be notified through <br /> their representive that a satisfactory solution to eliminate this loss of water must be <br /> found. On motion of Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Martinez, Mayor Parker was <br /> directed to inform the Crafton Water Company that the City would join in the necessary <br /> notice to the Fish Hatchery and the Mill Creek Property Owners Association. <br /> 410 <br />
