ORDINANCE NO 2879 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER <br /> 3 09 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE <br /> PROCESSING OF, AND DECISIONAL AUTHORITY FOR, REQUESTS FOR <br /> LEAVE TO FILE LATE GOVERNMENT CLAIMS <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS <br /> Section 1 Section 3 09 070 of the Redlands Municipal Code, entitled "Late Filing," is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows <br /> "3.09.070: LATE FILING- <br /> In accordance with Government Code section 935, the late filing of a claim pursuant to this <br /> chapter is governed by section 9114, and sections 911 6 through 912 2 inclusive, of the <br /> Government Code Provided, however, that the City Council hereby delegates the authority to <br /> the City Manager, and his or her designees, in consultation with the City Attorney, to determine <br /> whether a request or application for leave to file a late claim shall be granted or denied by the <br /> City in accordance with Government Code section 911 6 " <br /> Section 2 The City Council hereby determines that the adoption of this ordinance is <br /> exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to <br /> State CEQA Guidelines section 15061(b)(3) because this City Council determines that it can be <br /> seen with certainty that approval of this ordinance will have no direct or indirect impact on the <br /> physical environment, and that approval of this ordinance is not a "project" under CEQA as that <br /> term is defined in Public Resources Code section 21065 <br /> Section 3 The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the <br /> adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the <br /> Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this <br /> ordinance shall take effect as provided by law <br /> Paul W Foster Mayor <br /> ATTEST <br /> J Donaldson, City Clerk <br /> 1 <br /> I 10rdmanccsWos 2900 2999 in Word12879 Amending 3 09 Local Government Claims--Clean.docx <br />
