CITY OF REDLANDS AND THE REDLANDS ASSOCIATION OF <br />MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT (2018) <br />This Side Letter of Agreement amending the July 1, 2018 — June 30, 2023 Memorandum of <br />Understanding between the Redlands Association of Management Employees ("RAME") and the <br />City of Redlands ("City") is made and entered into this 20th day of November, 2018 RAME and <br />the City are sometimes individually referred to herein as a "Party" and, together, as the "Parties " <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, on December 5, 2017, RAME and the City agreed to a Memorandum of <br />Understanding ("RAME MOU") for the period of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2023, and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties now wish to clarify their intentions with respect to Article 10, <br />Section G 3 of the RAME MOU; and <br />WHEREAS, representatives of the City and RAMS have met and conferred in good faith, <br />and now wish to effect changes with respect to Article 10, Section G 3 of the RAME MOU; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, RAME <br />and the City agree as follows <br />AGREEMENT <br />Section 1 Article 10, Section G 3 of the RAME MOU, entitled "Health Insurance," is hereby <br />amended to read as follows <br />Unit members with ten (10) years of continuous employment with the City who concurrently retire <br />from the City and the CalPERS system may elect to receive "Medical Bridge" health insurance <br />from the city "Medical Bridge" health insurance is defined as single party coverage for the retired <br />unit member only Members who elect medical bridge health insurance will be entitled to coverage <br />under the lowest cost medical and dental insurance plans as provided by the City to its then existing <br />Unit members until the member reaches the age of Medicare eligibility at which time the benefit <br />will cease Unit members who receive the medical bridge health insurance can select higher cost <br />plans offered by the City to its then existing members and/or coverage for dependents, however, <br />the additional cost for the plan or additional dependents shall be paid for by the Unit member and <br />not by the City <br />
