5' <br /> ORDINANCE NO 2762 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 18 228 OF THE <br /> REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br /> DENSITY BONUS REQUIREMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the State Legislature has amended section 65915 of the Government Code, <br /> entitled"Application seeping density bonus, incentives or concessions for lower income housing <br /> units and child care facilities, conditions, agreements and submission requirements, duties of <br /> local officials," and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Redlands now desires to amend Chapter <br /> 18 228 of the Redlands Municipal Code to conform to the new requirements of section 65915 of <br /> the Government Code, <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS <br /> Section 1. The text of Chapter 18 228 of the Redlands Municipal Code, entitled <br /> "Density Bonus,"is hereby deleted in its entirety and rewritten to read as follows <br /> "Chapter 18 228 <br /> DENSITY BONUS <br /> 18 228 010 Purpose <br /> 18 228 020 Eligibility for bonus and incentives <br /> 18 228 030 Types of bonuses and incentives or concessions allowed <br /> 18 228 040 Continued affordability, equity sharing <br /> 18 228 050 Location of affordable units <br /> 18 228 060 Child care facilities <br /> 18 228 070 Processing of bonus request <br /> 18.228 080 Appeals. <br /> 18 228 010 Purpose This Chapter provides for the preservation and maintenance of the <br /> City's affordable housing supply, as well as incentives or concessions for the development of <br /> housing that is affordable to the types of households and qualifying residents identified in <br /> Section 18 228 020 of this Chapter In offering these incentives or concessions, this Chapter is <br /> intended to implement the requirements of state law (Government Code sections 65302, 65913 <br /> and 65915 et seq) and the goals and policies of the City's General Plan housing element <br /> 18 228 020 Eligibility for bonus and incentives or concessions To be eligible for a <br /> density bonus and other incentives or concessions as provided by this Chapter, a proposed <br /> residential development project shall <br /> A Consist of five or more dwelling units; and <br /> 1 <br /> keleddordinancesM62 Amending 18 228 Density Bonus Requirements(Fonn).doc <br />
