t <br /> CFiY CLERK, CITY FALL <br /> REDLANEDS, CALIF 92374 <br /> RESOLUTION NO 2587 <br /> � RESOyuTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br /> ?tiOVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF COSTS RESULTING FROM THE <br /> DEMOLITION OF STRUCTURES FOUND TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE <br /> P <br /> TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE <br /> THAT. <br /> WHEREAS ,, Section 203 (a) of the Uniform Building Code (1964 <br /> itio:) adopted by City of Redlands Ordinance No 1308 requires <br /> seat a-! unsafe buildings be repaired or demolished. The Code <br /> -arthew provides that if an owner shall fall to repair or demolish <br /> a building determined to be a public nuisance that the City Council <br /> ma2 order the demolition of said building with costs to be assessed <br /> gsL-s! the property; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Building and Safety Department of the City of <br /> Anilands, the agency responsible for administration of the Uniform <br /> build-nq Code, did advise the owners of the property and improve- <br /> �ants on November 2, 1966, that the structures had been determined <br /> Lo be a public nuisance and the removal_ or repair was necessary, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the owners Forrest L and Raymond H Drake, 1521 No <br /> Beverly Court., Ontario, California, would not take action to abate <br /> zhe nuisance, and <br /> WHEREAS , the City Council of uhe City of Redlands did on the <br /> 3rd of January, 1967, direct the abatement of the nuisance by <br /> demolition with the cost thereof to be paid from available general <br /> funds of the City with subsequent assessment against the property; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the structures have now been demolished and total <br /> costs of $562.78 have been incurred for the work, <br /> NOW, THEREF0RE, BE IT RESOLVED_ <br /> Tnat the City Clerk will advise the Auditor, San Bernardino <br /> 0oanty, who will record the assessment and the Assessor, San <br /> Bernardino County, who will enter the assessment on the tax roll <br /> in an amount of $562 78 against the property as follows <br /> Lugon.ia Park <br /> Loz 28 Block H <br /> Code and Parcel 501 - 170 - 181 - 36 <br /> ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 21st day of February , <br /> 1967 <br /> ATTEST <br /> a <br /> s waldo F Burrou hs <br /> J Mayor of the City of Redlands <br /> Wlywtlplk <br />
