<br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT A PORTION
<br /> OF A CERTAIN STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE
<br /> STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF SAID STREET
<br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and
<br /> resolves as follows
<br /> SECTION ONE The City Council of the City of Redlands , having
<br /> elected to proceed under the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chap-
<br /> ter 2 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California,
<br /> and having held a public hearing as provided therein, hereby finds
<br /> from all evidence submitted tnat the street described in thjs resolu-
<br /> tion is unnecessary for present or prospective purposes and that the
<br /> public interest and convenience require the closing of said street
<br /> SECTION TWO- The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a
<br /> portion of a street described as follows-
<br /> Legal Description for Vacating Portion of Fern Avenue
<br /> That portion of 100 foot wide Fern Avenue and portion of
<br /> Lot 1, Block G northerly of and adjacent to the northerly
<br /> right-of-way line of 100 foot wide Fern Avenue, being a
<br /> portion of Second Preliminary Map of Redlands as recorded
<br /> in Book 5 of Maps , Page 2 thereof, located westerly of the
<br /> line parallel with and 39 feet distant southerly, measured
<br /> at right angles from the centerline of Citrus Avenue and
<br /> easterly and southeasterly of the east line of that certain
<br /> parcel conveyed to the City of Redlands by Redlands Unified
<br /> School District by a deed recorded in Book 6648 of Official
<br /> Records , Page 656 thereof, records of San Bernardino County,
<br /> State of California.
<br /> SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City
<br /> Council for the vacation of the street described in Section 2, the City
<br /> of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent ease-
<br /> ment and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, main-
<br /> tain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm
<br /> drains and appurtenant structures in, upon, over and across any street
<br /> or part thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing
<br /> franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain,
<br /> operate, replace, remove, renew and enlarge Liles of pipe, conduits ,
<br /> cables , wires , poles and other convenient structures , equipment and
<br /> fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone
<br /> lines , railroad lines, and for the distribution or transportation of
<br /> electric energy, petroleum, and its products , ammonia, water and inci-
<br /> dental purposes , including access and right to keep property free from
<br />
