PITN EY- BOWES, INC.
STAMFORD, CONNECT[CLIT
ORIGINATORS OF THE POSTAGE METER AND METERED
p..
MAIL PB WORLD'S LARGEST MANUFACTURERS OF MAILING MACHINES
December 15, 1954
TO ALL LESSORS OF POSTAGE METERS
AND OTHER PITNEY-BOWES PRODUCTS;
Our rental agreements in the past have been on an annual self -renewing
basis -- i. e. , unless canceled by 30 days' written notice by either party
prior to the end of anyone year period, dating from installation, they were
automatically continued for another full year.
We do not feel that this type of agreement is appropriate to present day
economic practice and climate. Consequently, we are writing all our new
agreements with the provision that they may be terminated at any time
after the first year by 90 days' written notice by either party.
We, of course, hope that there will never be need for either of us to avail
ourselves of this provision, and we are of course desirous that it should
I
e applicable to all old customers as well as new. This notice, therefore,
is to so amend your present rental agreement, it remaining the same in all
other respects. Unless we hear fromyou to the contrary, we will assume
this is acceptable to you.
We appreciate your patronage and assure you we will continue to do all in
our power to serve you well.
H. M. Nordberg
Vice President for Sales and Service.
