C 0 N T R A C T Contract for the construction of a sanitary trunk sewer line in the City of Redlands. This Agreement, made and concluded, in duplicate, this 18U day of JanuarY , 19 bl , between the City of Redlands, arty of the first part, and Robert Simon, Contractor Contractor, party of the second part. Article I. Witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the payments and agreements hereinafter mentioned, to be made and performed by the said party of the first part, and under the conditions expressed in the two bonds hereunto annexed, the said party of the second part agrees with the said party of the first part, at his %!n proper cost and expense, to do all the work and furnish all the materials, except such that are mentioned in the specifications to be furnished by said party of the first part, necessar,- to construct and complete in a good, worl-ananlike and substantial manner and to the satisfaction of the City of Redlands: Said work to be done in shown in part upon. a plan entitled "Sanitary Sewer Relocation, Project II". Said work shall be in accordance with Standard Specifications entitled "Sanitary- Sewer Relocation, Project II?". Article II. And the said Contractor agrees to receive and accept the following prices as full compensation for furnishing all materials and for doing all the work contemplated and embraced in this agreement; also for all loss or damage arising out of the nature of the work aforesaid, or from the action of the elements, or from any unforeseen difficulties or obstructions which may arise or be encountered in the prosecution of the work until its acceptance by the City of Redlands, and for all risks of every description connected with the work; also for all expenses incurred by or in consequence of the suspension or discontinuance of work and for well and faithfully complet- ing the work, and the hhole thereof, in the manner and according to the plans and specifications, and the requirements of the Lngineer under them, to wit: ITEM WITH UNIT PRICE UNIT TOTAL ITEM QUANTITIES WRITTEN IN WORDS PRICE PRICE 1 Lump Sum Clearing of approximately 1700 linear feet of right -of r:a;; prior to construction C) Two lhmdred --- Dollars and cents. _ Lump Sum 200•00 2189 lin. ft. 8-inch extra strength vitrified clay pipe in place. @ Four Dollars and V�Y-Elov_� Cents per lin. ft. 4.48 $9806.72 3 2252 lin. ft. 21-inch extra strength vitrified clay pipe, in place,@ Ten Dollars and Seventy --Nine Cents per lin. ft, $ 10.79 4,4,299.08
