Contract No. 664 <br />AGREEMENT <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into this _6_ _ day of <br />October , 19_6_4__, at Sacramento, California, by and <br />between DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE hereinafter called the Department, and <br />w _ hereinafter called the City; <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />WHEREAS, it is provided in Section 194.2, Streets and Highways <br />Code, that any city or city and county whose population has increased <br />substantially since the last Federal Census may apply to Department to <br />estimate the increase in population, and <br />WHEREAS, said Section 194.2 provides that Department may make <br />the estimate if in the opinion of Department there is available adequate <br />information upon which to base the estimate, and <br />WHEREAS, City desires to have Department estimate the increase <br />in population of City and Department is willing to make such estimation, <br />provided adequate information is available upon which to base the estimate, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby mutually agreed between the parties <br />hereto as follows: <br />1. City shall provide such data as are requested by Department <br />in order that Department may determine whether adequate information is <br />available upon which to base an estimate of population of City. In the <br />event Department determines that there is not adequate information upon <br />which to base an estimate of population it shall inform City and shall <br />make available to City the basis for this determination and in such case <br />Department shall render no further services hereunder, However, should <br />C IE2A (1) <br />
