RESOLUTION NO. 8007 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />APPROVING A DELINQUENT ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION FINE <br />REPORT AND SUBMITTAL OF A NOTICE OF LIEN TO THE SAN <br />BERNARDINO COUNTY AUDITOR-CONTROLLER/TREASURER/TAX <br />COLLECTOR FOR PROCESSING <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has issued administrative citations to the owners of <br />various properties located within the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the property owners who received the administrative citations, and are <br />identified in the City Manager's report, have failed to pay the delinquent fines for such citations; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Section 1.22.140 of the Redlands Municipal Code provides that "...fines <br />levied by administrative citation, or by administrative hearing order, constitute a special <br />assessment against each lot or parcel of land upon which the violation existed, and as thus made <br />and confirmed shall also become the personal obligation of each lot or parcel of land;" and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section. 1.22.140 of the Redlands Municipal Code, on July 16, <br />2019, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which the property owners were provided the <br />opportunity to object or protest the proposed adoption of this resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, having considered the City <br />Manager's report regarding delinquent administrative citations, together with any objections and <br />protests by the property owners of various locations, desires to declare the delinquent fines as <br />special assessments and cause such fines to be recorded as a lien against the properties identified <br />in the report; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. The City Council approves the delinquent administrative citation fines report <br />submitted by the City Manager and confirms such delinquent fuses to be entered as special <br />assessments on the property tax roll against the properties identified in the report. <br />Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Redlands, and the City's Finance Director, are <br />hereby authorized and directed to send a certified copy of this resolution and a Notice of Lien for <br />the delinquent fines (as special assessments), and all other appropriate documentation to place <br />the fines in the tax roll to the San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector <br />for the County of San Bernardino. <br />1 <br />1:1Resolutions\Res 8000-809918007 -Delinquent Admin Citation 2019.docjn <br />
