�,J-1 11 <br />.4b_ <br />AGREMEENT <br />This agreement is entered into between the UNIVERSITY OF REDL�_NDS, <br />hereinafter known as the "Institution," and the CITY OF REDLANDS, REDL_MS, <br />CALIFORNIA, hereinafter known as the "Agency," a public organization within <br />the meaning of that term as defined in section .2(g) of the regulations <br />governing the College fork -Study Program, for the purpose of providing work <br />to students eligible to participate in the College Work -Study Program. <br />WHEREAS, Institution and Agency desire that certain of University's <br />students engage in work for public and private non-profit organizations under <br />the Fork -Study Program authorized by the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, <br />Public Law 88-452, 78 Stat. 573, as amended. <br />NOWT, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. Agency shall utilize the services of students furnished by the <br />University who are eligible to participate in the Work -Study Program and <br />who are qualified and acceptable to Agency. The specific services to be <br />performed by said students are set forth on the attached Exhibit "A", which <br />is incorporated herein. <br />2. The work performed by such students shall be in public interest <br />and shall not: <br />a. Displace employed workers or impair existing contracts for <br />services; <br />b. Involve political activity or work for any political party; or <br />c. Involve the construction, operation, or maintenance of so much <br />of any facility as is used or is to be used for sectarian instruction <br />or as a place for religious worship. <br />3. Agency agrees to: <br />a. Reasonably supervise the services of students participating in <br />the Work -Study Program and permit reasonable supervision by a represent- <br />ative of the Institution; <br />b. Make a report to Institution of the time worked by students <br />participating in the programs at least monthly; <br />o. Allow no student to work for more than fifteen (15) hours in <br />any week in which classes in which he is enrolled are in session, for <br />not more than forty (40) hours in any other week; and <br />d. "Pay to Institution the Agency's share of total compensation, <br />excluding all employee benefits, to be paid to students in the program <br />not to exceed twenty (20%a) percent of the total compensation to be paid <br />to each student. Should the Agency's share of the total compensation as <br />required by the provisions of the College Work -Study Program at any time <br />exceed twenty (20o) percent of the total compensation to be paid to the <br />students participating therein, this agreement may be terminated at any <br />time without notice by the Agency without further liability for such <br />compensation." <br />
