City of Redlands <br />City Council <br />Mr. John Shone <br />August 30, 1971 <br />(2) Perform all necessary engineering work incident to <br />the preparation of detailed construction plans and specifications, <br />including bidding, bond and contract forms. <br />(3) Hold detailed conferences with the City to review <br />their wishes and requirements, and to discuss scheduling. Review <br />the project with Council and staff, upon completion of Preliminary <br />Design. <br />(4) Meet with the appropriate Regulatory Agencies through- <br />out the project to assure compliance with Local, State, and Federal <br />requirements. <br />(5) Plan for and assist the City in procuring the necessary <br />field information for design. This will include field surveys and <br />soils investigations, <br />(6) Upon completion of the plans and specifications to pre- <br />pare and submit a detailed statement of the estimated costs of <br />construction. <br />(7) To furnish the City with 40 sets of specifications, and <br />furnish the City at cost, copies of the plans as they request. <br />(8) To assist the City in calling for bids and in the making <br />of the construction awards, <br />(9) To make our services available to the City for advice and <br />consultation relative to interpretation of the plans and specifications, <br />and for other incidental general purposes as required during <br />construction. <br />Our fee for performing the above services is: <br />Fee for Detailed Plans and Specifications. Our fee for per- <br />forming the services in connection with Detailed Plans and Specifica- <br />tions will be in accordance with the curves set forth by the American <br />Society of Civil Engineers Manual No. 45, entitled, "Consulting <br />Engineering - A Guide for the Engagement of Engineering Services', <br />less the report fee. <br />The fee, taken from Curve A of Manual No. 45 (pg. 28), at <br />various "points", is: <br />Construction Cost Percent <br />$ 800,000 <br />7. 1Z% <br />1,000,000 <br />6. 8374 <br />Z,000,000 <br />6.327, <br />5,000,000 <br />5. 85% <br />
