WHEREAS, the City of Redlands, California, ogms property in the <br />City of Redlands, Down as Prospect Park, and particularly the 25.45 <br />acres of orange groves (3 parcels) and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redlands is desirous of maintaining the above <br />orange groves and the marketing of the crops in the best interest of <br />the City of Redlands; <br />NOW THEREFORE it is agreed that the United Southern Citrus Growers <br />Company agrees to, that <br />(1) They will supervise and care for the groves with diligence and <br />intelligent economic care. <br />(2) For the above management they will not charge the customary $2.00 <br />per acre per month fee. <br />(3) They will pay all bills for such care - i.e., cultivation, irrigation, <br />spraying and other incidental labor out of their funds. <br />(4) They will not charge you any interest for this capital outlay for <br />such care. <br />(5) They will pick, pack and market the crop through Sunkist Growers, Inc. <br />with which they are affiliated. They will deduct all advances for <br />the grove care which they have already spent and remit to the City of <br />Redlands the balance at the end of each season. <br />(6) They will maintain records of all expenditures for the City of Redlands <br />inspection anytime the City of Redlands so desires. <br />(7) The City of Redlands furnish all water for irrigation of these groves <br />at no charge to United Southern Citrus Growers Company. <br />(8) That the United States Soil Conservation Service, the San Bernardino <br />County Agricultural Department and the University of California <br />Extension Service, advise when necessary, for irrigation crater <br />management, pest control and cultural practices. <br />
