A G R E E M E N T <br />THIS AGREEMENT made this 18th day of <br />July, 1972, by <br />and between the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, <br />California, a public corporation (hereinafter sometimes called <br />the "Agency"), and O'MELVENY & MYERS, a co -partnership, of Los <br />Angeles, California (hereinafter sometimes called the "Attorneys"); <br />W I T N E S S E T H: <br />It is mutually agreed between the parties hereto that: <br />1. In connection with a proposed redevelopment project <br />within the City of Redlands to be designated as Redlands Rede- <br />velopment Project, the Agency hereby employs the Attorneys to <br />furnish, and the Attorneys hereby agree to furnish,legal services <br />consisting of the examination.of a transcript furnished by the <br />Agency to the Attorneys covering, when completed, all proceedings <br />leading up to and including the adoption of the redevelopment plan. <br />The Attorneys shall report to the Agency its conclusions.from such <br />examinations. <br />The services under this Section 1 do not include services <br />in connection with any litigation and do not include the drafting <br />of documents, the supervision of proceedings or any other services <br />while the redevelopment plan proceedings are in progress, except <br />that the Attorneys will upon request of the Agency, examine and <br />make suggestions concerning an advance draft of the redevelopment <br />plan and an advance draft of the ordinance. of the City Council <br />approving and adopting the plan. <br />2. For the services rendered under Section 1 above the <br />Agency agrees to pay the Attorneys a fee of $500 upon completion <br />of the examination of the transcript covering the redevelopment <br />plan proceedings and the issuance of the report thereon. <br />3. Said fee will be applied against any fee for legal <br />services rendered in connection with'the issuance and sale of tax <br />allocation bonds by the Agency for the financing of a portion of <br />the cost of said redevelopment project. <br />
