F / <br />A G R E E M E N T <br />THIS AGREEMENT made and entered into by and between the City <br />of Redlands, hereinafter referred to as "Redlands", and the <br />City of Loma Linda, hereinafter referred to as "Loma Linda", <br />dated this 4fih day of Noypmber ,19 72 - <br />WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino <br />County has established the boundaries of Zones of Influence for <br />Redlands and Loma Linda in the area generally east of Mt. View <br />Avenue and south of Redlands Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, said Commission has recommended Redlands and Loma Linda <br />to resolve the problem of providing sanitary sewer service in <br />the area; <br />NOW THEREFORE, it is agreed as follows: <br />1. Loma Linda will permit extension of its existing sanitary <br />sewer system to serve the area east of Mt. View Avenue <br />within the Redlands Zone of Influence. <br />2. Each city will own and maintain the sewer mains within its <br />respective Zone of Influence. <br />3. Redlands will pay to Loma Linda a monthly sewer service <br />charge per unit connected in the greater of any of the <br />following amounts: <br />a. Fifty per cent (50%) of the Redlands charge. <br />b. Equal to the Loma Linda charge. <br />C. The fee which Loma Linda pays to the City of San <br />Bernardino for treatment of sewage plus eight <br />per cent (8%). <br />4. Redlands will deposit with Loma Linda a sewer connection <br />fee of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per unit <br />connected to the sanitary sewer system within the Redlands <br />Zone of Influence. <br />5. The connection: fee deposited shall be used solely to help <br />defray the cost of relief sewer construction of the sewer <br />facilities owned by Loma Linda in the event trunk sewers <br />carrying Redlands wastewater become overloaded. <br />
