RESOLUTION NO. 8032 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />APPROVING SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT NO.45 TO THE EAST VALLEY <br />CORRIDOR SPECIFIC PLAN (SPECIFIC PLAN NO. 40), TO CHANGE THE <br />LAND USE DESIGNATION OF SEVEN PARCELS TO "MULTIPLE FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL-2500 DISTRICT (EV/2500RM)" LOCATED ON THE NORTH <br />AND SOUTH SIDES OF ORANGE AVENUE BETWEEN ALABAMA AND <br />IOWS STREETS (APNS: 0292-167-08-0000, 0292-167-11-0000, 0292-167-12- <br />0000, 0292-167-13-0000, 0292-167-18-0000, 0292-167-25-0000, AND 0292-168- <br />03-0000) <br />WHEREAS, 1600 Orange LLC., the property owner, has submitted an application for <br />Specific Plan Amendment No. 45 to the East Valley Corridor Specific Plan (Specific Plan No. 40) to <br />change the land use designation of seven parcels (APNS: 0292-167-08-0000, 0292-167-11-0000, <br />0292-167-12-0000, 0292-167-13-0000, 0292-167-18-0000, 0292-167-25-0000, and 0292-168-03- <br />0000) to EV/2500 "Multiple Family Residential-2500 District (EV/2500RM)" (the "Specific Plan <br />Amendment"); and <br />WHEREAS, on August 29, 2019, notice of the Planning Commission's public hearing for the <br />Specific Plan Amendment was published in the Redlands Daily Facts; and <br />WHEREAS, at the September 10, 2019, Planning Commission meeting, the Specific Plan <br />Amendment was continued to a special Planning Commission meeting on September 30, 2019, at <br />6:00 PM; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 30, 2019, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing <br />at which interested persons had an opportunity to testify in support of, or in opposition to, the <br />Specific Plan Amendment, and at which the Planning Commission considered the Specific Plan <br />Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 30, 2019, the Planning Commission recommended to the City <br />Council the Specific Plan Amendment be approved; and <br />WHEREAS, following the public hearing on September 30, 2019 the Planning Commission <br />determined that the Specific Plan Amendment would be in conformity with the existing land use <br />designation for the subject property as Medium Density Residential in the 2035 General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 30, 2019, the Planning Commission recommended to the City <br />Council that the proposed Specific Plan Amendment be approved; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 2, 2019, notice of the City Council's public hearing for the proposed <br />Specific Plan Amendment was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on October 15, 2019, at <br />1 <br />hResotutions\Res 8000-8099\8032 SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT.doc <br />
