RESOLUTION NO 8105 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br /> IDENTIFYING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> RESPONSE AWAY FROM THEIR OFFICIAL DUTY STATION AND <br /> ASSIGNED TO AN EMERGENCY INCIDENT, AND RESCINDING <br /> RESOLUTION NO 7489 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redlands is a public agency located in the County of San <br /> Bernardino, State of California, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the City of Redlands' desire to provide fair and legal payment to all its <br /> employees for time worked, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has in its employ 54 Fire response personnel including <br /> the Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Battalion Chiefs, Fire Captains, Engineers, <br /> Firefighter/Paramedics, and Firefighter/EMT, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redlands will compensate its fire response personnel portal to <br /> portal while in the course of their employment and away from their official duty station and <br /> assigned to an emergency incident, m support of an emergency incident, or pre-positioned for <br /> emergency response, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redlands will compensate its fire response personnel overtime in <br /> accordance with their respective and current Memorandums of Understandmg while in the <br /> course of their employment and away from their official duty station and assigned to an <br /> emergency incident, in support of an emergency incident, or pre-positioned for emergency <br /> response, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as <br /> follows <br /> Section 1 Fire response personnel shall be compensated according to Redlands <br /> Professional Firefighters, Redlands Association of Fire Management Employees, and/or <br /> Redlands Association of Department Directors Memorandums of Understandmg <br /> Section 2 In the event a personnel classification does not have an assigned <br /> compensation rate, a "Base Rate" as set forth m an organizational policy, administrative directive <br /> or similar document will be established to compensate such personnel <br /> Section 3 The City of Redlands Fire Department will maintain a current salary <br /> survey or acknowledgement of acceptance of the "Base Rate" on file with the California <br /> Governor's Office of Emergency Services, Fire Rescue Division <br /> 1 <br /> I\Resolutions\Res 8100 8199\8105 oT Portal to Portal Compensation Rescinding Reso 7489 docx <br />
