Attorney Taylor presented Resolution <br />quitclaim - the <br />Vander Hoop :o. 2171, a resolution concerning a grant of real property txom City of Redlands to <br />Garrett and Dora Vander Hoop and .to James and Doray Vander Hoop, said resolution unani- <br />mously adopted on motion of Councilman Wilson, seconded by Councilman Ward. <br />Resolution No. 2169, a resolution of the City of Redlands amending Resolution No. 2124, <br />Resolution ordering the work of closing portion of Tennessee Street, presented by the City Attorney <br />To. 2169 <br />at this time and adopted on motion of Councilman. Wilson, seconded by Councilman Martinez. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />. /,. F <br />At the Council meeting of November 7, 1961, the City received an offer from Donald C. <br />Beckord and Edmund L. Zander for the purchase of certain City owned land at the north- <br />west corner of Highway 99 and Texas Street commonly known as the Scott Drive-in property. <br />This offer, which included the trade of a five acre parcel at the northeast corner of <br />Sale of - <br />City land - Park Avenue and Kansas Street adjoining the new city yards site, plus $20,000.00 cash - <br />Texas Street <br />and Hwy 99 total, $52,000.DO - was taken under study and consideration. <br />At this time the Council, on motion of Councilman Burroughs, moved to accept the offer <br />subject to the terms as set out with the following additions: <br />1) The City obtain water rights in the Grant Well on the five acre <br />parcel. <br />2) The first trust deed remain a first trust - at no time to be <br />subordinated. <br />3) That accelerated payments may be made on the trust deed without <br />penalty. <br />As these conditions were agreeable to the purchasers, motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Wilson and carried.
