i <br />U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />OPEN SPACE LAND PROGRAM <br />CONTRACT FOR GRANT <br />UNDER <br />TITLE VII OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1961, AS AMENDED <br />Part I <br />Project No. OS-CA-09-16-1049 <br />Contract No. OS-CA-09-16-1049(G) <br />, <br />THIS AGREEMENT, consisting of this Part I and the Terms <br />and Conditions dated July, 1972 forming Part II hereof (herein <br />called the "Contract", as defined in Part II), effective on <br />the date hereinbelow set out, by and between City of Redlands <br />(herein called the `Public Body") and the United States <br />of America (herein called the "Government"), WITNESSETH: <br />In consideration of the mutual covenants, promises, and <br />representations contained herein, the parties hereto do agree <br />as follows: <br />SEC. 1. PURPOSE OF CONTRACT <br />The purpose of this Contract is to provide for the <br />extension by the Government to the Public Body of certain Federal <br />financial assistance under Title VII of the Housing Act'of <br />1961, as amended by all amendatory Acts, and as governed by <br />the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition <br />Policies Act of 1970 (all such Acts being herein sometimes called <br />"Title VII"), with respect to the Project described in Section <br />2 hereof, and to state the terms and conditions upon which <br />such assistance will be extended and the understandings of <br />the parties hereto as to the manner in which they contemplate <br />that the Project will be carried out. <br />SEC. 2. THE PROJECT <br />The Public Body agrees to initiate and carry out certain <br />activities including the carrying out of a plan of relocation, <br />and the provision of relocation payments and assistance, for <br />displaced individuals, families, and business concerns (herein <br />called the "Project"), in accordance with this Contract and <br />n <br />
