RESOLUTION NO 8239 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS APPROVING THE DELINQUENT MUNICIPAL SERVICES REPORT AND SUBMITTAL OF THE REPORT TO THE AUDITOR OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY FOR LIEN PROCESSING WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has provided service and properly billed and noticed delinquent accounts based on a preliminary report dated July 7, 2021 for solid waste and recycling collection and disposal, household hazardous waste disposal, and street cleaning services, and WHEREAS, certain property owners receiving such services, as shown on the last available assessment roll, have failed to take action to pay the outstandmg delinquent balance owed to the City, and WHEREAS, measures are being taken in accordance with Chapter 13 64 of the Redlands Municipal Code which states " in the event of non-payment of any portion of the municipal services statement, any charges for service shall be deemed the responsibility of the property owner and may result in a lien against the property," and WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 13 64 of the Redlands Municipal Code, a duly noticed public hearing was held on July 20, 2021, so that the property owners could object or protest the proposed adoption of this resolution, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, having considered the delinquent solid waste service accounts, together with any objections and protests by property owners, desires to declare the delinquent accounts as special assessments and cause such accounts to be recorded as a hen against the properties benefitting from the provision of such services, NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows Section 1 The City Council approves the submittal of delinquent solid waste service accounts to the auditor of San Bernardino County, who will record and enter the assessments on the property tax roll against the properties that remain delinquent as of August 24, 2021 Section 2 The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized and directed to send a certified copy of this resolution, to the auditor, or the officer holding the equivalent position of auditor, for the County of San Bernardino ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 20th ATTEST. e Donaldson, City Clerk Paul T Banch, Mayor I \Resolutions\Res 8200 8299\8239 Delinquent Municipal Svcs Accts 2021 doc
