MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT <br />This AGREEMENT, made and entered into this day of <br />December, 1979, by and between the SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY FORESTRY <br />AND FIRE WARDEN DEPARTMENT (hereinafter referred to as COUNTY) <br />and the REDLANDS CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT (hereinafter referred to as <br />CITY) <br />WITNESSETH <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of the parties hereto to assist <br />each other on fire occurring in the City of Redlands and adjacent <br />unincorporated areas as shown on the attached map. <br />ITOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed as follows <br />1. When either the CITY or COUNTY receives a report of <br />any fire or other emergency in the area shown on the attached map, <br />the one having responsibility shall respond in their normal manner <br />and notify the other party as soon as practical <br />2. The CITY shall respond to any fire or other emergency <br />with at least one (1) engine or tanker, in the jurisdiction of the <br />COUNTY, as shown on the attached map <br />3 The COUNTY shall respond to any fire or other emergency <br />with at least one (1) engine or tanker in the jurisdiction of the <br />CITY, as shown on the attached map <br />4 Other emergency as used in the foregoing sections is <br />defined as any type ofemergency incident to which either party <br />normally responds to; i e , medical aid, hazardous materials spill, <br />gas leak, etc <br />5 The response of equipment and personnel by one agency <br />to assist the other shall be automatic upon notification of an emer- <br />gency and shall be subject to its availability <br />6. The senior officer of the agency having jurisdiction <br />of the fire shall be in charge of all personnel and equipment at the <br />scene. If no one from the agency having jurisdiction is at scene <br />upon the arrival of the agency providing assistance, the senior <br />officer of the latter agency shall be in charge until the arrival of <br />the agency having jurisdiction. <br />
