RESOLUTION NO. 2487 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY. ANNEXATION NO 29 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY Or REDLANDS 1 That the Council of the City of Redlands, for the reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands all of the territory here- inafter described, as uninhabited territory, under provi- sions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325, of the Gov- ernment Code of the State of California 2. That the Council's reasons for proposing to ini- tiate said annexation proceedings are as follows The an- nexation of the hereinafter described territory will con- tribute to the orderly growth of the city, provide the proper control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design and insure the proper use of land in conformity with the overall plan of tiie city 3. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is hereby identified as "Annexation 29" and consists of all that real property situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described on Exhibit A attached hereto and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit 13. 4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of Cali- fornia, this proposal to initiate proceedings to annex the hereinabove described uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, and to request a report by the Commission provi- ded for in Section 35002 of the Government Code.
