ORDINANCE NO 2886 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 2 02 <br />OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO CITY COUNCIL <br />COMPENSATION <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS <br />Section 1 Chapter 2 02 050 of the Redlands Municipal Code, titled "Compensation, <br />Increase Procedure," is hereby deleted in its entirety, and hereby rewntten to read as follows <br />"2 02 050 COMPENSATION, INCREASE PROCEDURE <br />A The compensation of city council members may be increased beyond the amount provided <br />in section 2 02 030 of this Chapter by an ordinance, or by an amendment to an ordinance, <br />but the amount of the increase may not exceed an amount equal to five percent (5%) for <br />each calendar year from the operative date of the last adjustment of the salary in effect <br />when the ordinance, or ordinance amendment, is enacted No salary ordinance shall be <br />enacted or amended which provides for automatic future increases in salary <br />B Pursuant to City of Redlands Ordinance No 2886 adopted in accordance with this Section <br />2 02 030, and notwithstanding any other provision of this Chapter, the compensation of <br />city council members shall be Fourteen Hundred Dollars ($1,400) per month, commencing <br />with the first full City pay penod after January 1, 2023 " <br />Section 2 The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the <br />adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a su ry oaf it, to be published once in the <br />Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general ci ation wrtluh\the City, and thereafter, this <br />ordinance shall take effect as provided by law <br />Paul T Banch, Mayor <br />ATTEST <br />e Donaldson, City Clerk <br />1 <br />I \Ordmances\Nos 2800 2899 in Word\2886 Amending Chapter 2.02 City Council Compensation Clean.docx <br />
