RESOLUTION NO. 7690 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO 134 TO THE REDLANDS GENERAL PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Corrimssion ofthe City ofRedlands reviewed proposed amendment <br />number 134 to the Redlands General Plan (the "Amendment") to amend the General Plan land use <br />designation o f approxnnately 18 54 acres within the City of Redlands' Sphere of Influence from Rural <br />Living (0 4 units per gross acre) to Very -Low -Density Residential (0 to 2 7 dwelling units per gross <br />acre) located at the northeast corner of Highland Avenue and Wabash Avenue, and <br />WHEREAS, on November 22, 2016, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing <br />on the Amendment and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant for the <br />proposed Amendment, and testimony from members of the public, and <br />WHEREAS, upon conclusion ofthe public hearing, the Planning Commission recommended <br />to the City Council that the Amendment be approved, and <br />WHEREAS on November 17, 2016, notice of the City Council's public hearing for the <br />Amendment was pubhshed in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Cleik, and <br />WHEREAS, on December 20, 2016, the City Council held a public hearing and considered <br />the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Plaiting Commission, the testinony and <br />written evidence submitted by and on behalfofthe applicant, and testimony by rnernbers ofthe public, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the proposed Amendment, the City Council <br />determined that adoption of the Amendment is in the best interests of the pubhc health, safety and <br />general welfare, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands as <br />follows <br />Section 1 General Plan Amendment No 134 is hereby approved to amend the General <br />Plan land use designation of approximately 18 54 acres within the City of Redlands' Sphere of <br />Influence from Rural Living (0 4 units per gross acre) to Very -Low -Density Residential (0 to 2 7 <br />dwelling units per gross acre) located at the northeast corner of Highland Avenue and Wabash <br />Avenue, and as more specifically described in the attached Exhibit "A " <br />I \ccleik\Resolutions\Res 7600-7699\7690 GPA 134 12 20 16 doc-1- <br />
