RESOLU I ION NO 7644 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 <br />PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIIII OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION <br />WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the California Constitution provides that the total <br />appropriations subject to limitation of each governmental entity, including this city, shall not <br />exceed the appropriation limit of such entity of government foi the prioi year adjusted for changes <br />in the cost of hying or personal income and population, except as otherwise provided for in said <br />Article XIIIB and implementing State statutes, and <br />WHEREA.S, pursuant to said Article XIIIB of the California Constitution and Section <br />7900 et seq of the California Government Code, the City is re:gulled to set an appropriation limit <br />tor each fiscal yeai., and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Director of the City of Redlands has interpreted the technical <br />provisions of said Article XIIIB computations and has caused a technical review to be made of the <br />documentation for the City's said appropriation limitation, utilizing the population growth facto' <br />for the County which is Inghei than that of the City, and has caused the numbers upon which the <br />City's appropriation limn was and is based to be calculated, and <br />WHEREAS, based on such calculation, the Finance ID -vector has determined the said <br />appropriation hint and, pursuant to Section 7910 of the California Government Code, has made <br />available to the public the documentation used in the determination of said appi opriation limit, 15 <br />days in advance of consideration of the adoption of this resolution, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redlands, <br />California, that said appropi iation limit for the Fiscal Yeai 2016-2017 shall he and is hereby set m <br />the amount of$I 11,300,300 <br />ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 5th day of July, 2016 <br />aul W Foster, Mayoi <br />ATTEST <br />-,4— <br />Sam Ir in, City C erk <br />1 Icclerk1Resolutions cs 7600 7699\7644 APPROPRIATION LIMIT (GANN 16 17) doc <br />
