RESOLUTION NO 8327 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING COMPENSATION FOR THE ELECTIVE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO 7486 WHEREAS, Government Code Section 36517 provides that the compensation for the elective office of the City Clerk shall be fixed by ordinance or resolution, and WHEREAS, by the adoption of this resolution, it is the desire of this City Council to establish the salary and benefits approved for the elective office of the City Clerk as of April 18, 2022, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redlands as follows Section 1 The annual salary for the elective office of the City Clerk is Eighty -Five Thousand Four Hundred Fifty -Four Dollars ($85,454) In addition to such salary, the City Clerk shall receive the following City -paid benefits A Life insurance in the amount of Twenty Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) B Contribution of $900 per month towards medical, city paid dental, or at the election of the City Clerk, a stipend of Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350) per month C Contribution to deferred compensation in the amount of One Thousand Eight Hundred Forty -Five Dollars ($1,845) per year. D Optional participation in a 457 plan. Section 2 Notwithstanding the annual salary and benefits established by this Resolution for the elective office of the City Clerk, in the event a majority of the City's Department Directors participates in a City -established salary reduction, furlough, or other similar plan to achieve a specific amount of cost savings, the City Clerk shall also be obligated to achieve similar savings through reductions in the City Clerk's compensation Section 3 Resolution No 7486 is hereby rescinded ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED t; is 5th day of Aril, 2022 Paul T Barich, Mayor ATTEST nne Donaldson, City Clerk L \ca\Reso\8327 City Clerk Compensation 2022.docx.jn
