RESOLUTION NO. 8357 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />APPROVING THE DELINQUENT MUNICIPAL SERVICES REPORT AND <br />SUBMITTAL OF THE REPORT TO THE AUDITOR OF SAN BERNARDINO <br />COUNTY FOR LIEN PROCESSING <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has provided service and properly billed and noticed <br />delinquent accounts based on a preliminary report dated June 29, 2022 for solid waste and <br />recycling collection and disposal, household hazardous waste disposal, and street cleaning <br />services; and <br />WHEREAS, certain property owners receiving such services, as shown on the last <br />available assessment roll, have failed to take action to pay the outstanding delinquent balance <br />owed to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, measures are being taken in accordance with Chapter 13.64 of the Redlands <br />Municipal Code which states "...in the event of non-payment of any portion of the municipal <br />services statement, any charges for service shall be deemed the responsibility of the property <br />owner and may result in a lien against the property;" and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 13.64 of the Redlands Municipal Code, a duly noticed <br />public hearing was held on July 19, 2022, so that the property owners could object or protest the <br />proposed adoption of this resolution, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, having considered the delinquent <br />solid waste service accounts, together with any objections and protests by property owners, <br />desires to declare the delinquent accounts as special assessments and cause such accounts to be <br />recorded as a lien against the properties benefitting from the provision of such services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as <br />follows: <br />Section 1. The City Council approves the submittal of delinquent solid waste service <br />accounts to the auditor of San Bernardino County, who will record and enter the assessments on <br />the property tax roll against the properties that remain delinquent as of August 25, 2022. <br />Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized and directed <br />to send a certified copy of this resolution, to the auditor, or the officer holding the equivalent <br />position of auditor, for the County of San Bernardino. <br />ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED t s 19`" day o Jul 20 <br />Paul T.
