WHEREAS it is now desire of this City Council to place the Second Modified Alternative <br />Measure on the November 8, 2022 ballot. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands, California, does hereby <br />resolve, declare, determine and order as follows: <br />Section 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the laws of the State of California <br />relating to General Law cities within said State there is called and ordered to be held in the City of <br />Redlands, California, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, a General Municipal Election for the <br />purpose of electing one Member of the City Council from District 1, one Member of the City <br />Council from District 3 and one Member of the City Council from District 5, for the full term of <br />four years. <br />Section 2. That the City Council submits the proposed ballot measure titled, "An <br />Initiative Ordinance of the People of Redlands Amending Sections 1A.0, 1A.10, 1.A.30, 4.2B and <br />4.41j of the Principles of Managed Development of the City of Redlands General Plan 2035," to <br />the qualified voters of the City, and shall do so in the form of the following question: <br />"Shall the Initiative Ordinance of the People of <br />Yes <br />Redlands Amending Sections 1A.0, 1A.10, 1.A.30, <br />4.2B and 4.41j of the Principles of Managed <br />No <br />Development of the City of Redlands General Plan <br />2035 be adopted?" <br />Sec ion 3. That the text of the ordinance submitted to the voters is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit "A ' and made a part thereof. <br />Section 4. That the ballots to be used at the election shall be in form and content as <br />required by law. <br />Section 5. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized, instructed, <br />and directed to procure and furnish any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all <br />supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully <br />conduct said election. <br />Section 6. That the polls for said election shall be open at 7:00 A.M. of the day of said <br />election and shall remain open continuously from said time until 8:00 P.M. of the same day when <br />said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14401 of the California Elections Code. <br />Section 7. That in all particulars not recited in this resolution, the election shall be held <br />and conducted as provided by law for holding municipal elections. <br />Section 8.
