Article 16. TRAINING PAY <br />When a dispatcher is assigned a trainee during the initial training period, the assigned training dispatcher <br />shall be eligible to receive training pay in the amount of five percent (5%) of base salary at straight time. <br />A dispatcher is only eligible for training pay when actively training a probationary dispatcher. <br />When a forensic specialist or community service officer is assigned a trainee during the initial training <br />period, the assigned training employee shall be eligible to receive training pay in the amount of two and <br />one half percent (2.5%) of base salary at straight time. An employee is only eligible for training pay when <br />actively training a probationary forensic specialist or community service officer. <br />Article 17. SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL <br />The City agrees to provide a five percent (5%) shift differential to those Unit employees who work one- <br />half of their regularly scheduled shifts after 7:00 p.m., not to include overtime, special assignments, <br />emergency hours, etc. worked after 7:00 p.m. The shift differential shall apply to the full regularly <br />scheduled shift. <br />Article 18. UNIFORM ALLOWANCE <br />A. The City shall provide a clothing allowance of three hundred twenty-five dollars ($325) in the form of <br />a check, to all non -uniformed Unit employees on payroll as of June 15t of each year. This allowance <br />shall be paid in July of each year. <br />B. Unit employees in the following classifications shall receive a uniform allowance of one thousand <br />seven hundred dollars ($1,700) per year. Two checks of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850) each shall <br />be issued each year, one in July and one in January for unit employees employed as of June 1 and <br />December 1, respectively. <br />Animal Services Officer <br />[-Animal Services Supervisor <br />Community Services Officer I/II <br />Digital Forensic Examiner <br />Dispatch Supervisor <br />[-Dispatcher I/II/III <br />Fire Prevention Inspector <br />rForensic Specialist <br />Property & Evidence Technician <br />C. The Kennel Attendant shall receive a boot allowance in the amount of two hundred twenty-five dollars <br />($225) to be paid in July of each year. <br />D.
