CITY OF REDLANDS AND REDLANDS ASSOCIATION OF <br />MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT (2023) <br />This Side Letter of Agreement amending the July 1, 2023 — June 30, 2026 Memorandum of <br />Understanding between Redlands Association of Management Employees (RAME) and the City <br />of Redlands ("City") is made and entered into this 5th day of December, 2023. Redlands <br />Association of Management Employees and the City are sometimes individually referred to herein <br />as a "Party" and, together, as the "Parties." <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, on June 20, 2023, Redlands Association of Management Employees and the <br />City agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding ("RAME MOU") for the period of July 1, 2023 <br />to June 30, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties now wish to clarify their intentions with respect to Article 12, <br />Section E.2 and Article 18, Sections D and E of the RAME MOU; and <br />WHEREAS, representatives of the City and RAME have met and conferred in good faith, <br />and now wish to effect changes with respect to Article 12, Section E.2 and Article 18, Sections D <br />and E of the RAME MOU; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, RAME <br />and the City agree as follows: <br />AGREEMENT <br />Section 1. Article 12, Section E.2 of the RAME MOU, entitled "Health Insurance — Retiree <br />Medical" is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />1. Upon service retirement and completion of fifteen (15) or more cumulative years of service <br />with the City, a Unit employee hired prior to March 11, 2010, who qualifies as an annuitant <br />under PEMHCA, may elect to receive as City contribution to a retiree health savings <br />account the difference between the PEMHCA minimum and the cost of fully paid lifetime <br />medical and dental insurance (excludes vision coverage) for the employee and eligible <br />dependents, under the City's medical and dental insurance programs. <br />Unit employees hired on or after March 11, 2010 are not eligible for the lifetime medical <br />benefit. <br />Section 1. Article 18, Sections D and E of the RAME MOU, entitled "Sick Leave" is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br />D. CONVERSION TO CASH: Upon voluntary separation of service (excluding retirement), <br />or layoff with the City, Unit employees with ten (10) years or more of continuous service <br />shall be eligible to cash in unused sick leave at the following formula: <br />1 <br />
