ORDINANCE NO. 2526 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING <br />CHAPTERS 3.42, 3.52 AND 3.62 OF THE REDLANDS <br />MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO WATER AND <br />WASTEWATER SERVICE FEES AND CHARGES. <br />WHEREAS, at a duly noticed public meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Redlands (" this City Council") verbal and written testimony was presented to this City Council <br />by the Utilities Advisory Committee, a committee appointed by the City Council, and City staff, <br />relating to the proposed revisions in the City's rates for water and wastewater service; and <br />WHEREAS, based upon such testimony, this City Council has determined that <br />revisions to the City's water and wastewater rates and charges are necessary to recover the <br />reasonable costs it incurs by providing water and wastewater service to its customers; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 5741, adoption of this <br />ordinance requires a two-thirds vote of the members of the City Council; <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION ONE: <br />Section 3.42.010 of the Redlands Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: <br />"3.42.010 Establishment. <br />All persons discharging septic tank loads into the City's wastewater treatment plant shall <br />pay a fee per gallon as established in Section 3.62.040 of this code." <br />SECTION TWO: <br />Section 3.52.040 of the Redlands Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: <br />Page 1 <br />
