ORDINANCE NO. 2967
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
<br />AMENDING TITLE 18 (ZONING REGULATIONS) OF THE REDLANDS
<br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO AMEND THE PROVISIONS PERTAINING TO
<br />AGRICULTURAL TOURISM AND RELATED LAND USES IN THE A-1,
<br />AGRICULTURAL ZONE.
<br />WHEREAS, Two Canyons Farmers Guild ("Applicant"), has submitted an application for
<br />Ordinance Text Amendment No. 366 to amend RMC Title 18 (Zoning Regulations), Chapter
<br />18.20, to permit agricultural tourism and related ancillary land uses as permitted uses,
<br />conditionally permitted uses, or uses subject to an administrative use permit within the A-1,
<br />Agricultural District; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on February 27, 2024, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed public
<br />hearing and unanimously recommended that the City Council approve Ordinance Text
<br />Amendment No. 366; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on April 2, 2024, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing and
<br />considered the staff report, oral report, the testimony and written evidence submitted by City staff,
<br />the Applicant, and the public; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on April 16, 2024, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2961 approving
<br />agricultural tourism land uses and related uses, as well as approved new development standards
<br />and performance standards for agritourism land uses; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to amend the provisions previously adopted by
<br />Ordinance No. 2961 pertaining to agritourism land uses; and,
<br />WHEREAS, on or about April 26, 2024, the City Clerk gave notice by publication in a
<br />newspaper of general circulation of the holding of a public hearing at which Ordinance No. 2967
<br />would be considered by City Council; and
<br />WHEREAS, on May 7, 2024, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the
<br />staff report, oral report, the testimony and written evidence submitted by City staff, the Applicant,
<br />and the public; and,
<br />WHEREAS, adoption of the proposed ordinance qualifies for exemption from
<br />environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) in accordance with
<br />CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3); and,
<br />WHEREAS, after closing the public hearing and deliberating upon the matter, the City
<br />Council finds that the proposed amendment to Title 18 (Zoning Regulations) of the Redlands
<br />Municipal Code will be consistent with the public health, safety, and general welfare.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF TFIE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES
<br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
