ORDINANCE NO. 1097 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE, ARTICLE 624, AND <br />ADDING ARTICLE 627. <br />The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: <br />SECTION ONE: That Redlands Ordinance Code Sections No. 6244, <br />6245, and 6246 shall be amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 6244 PAYMENT BY VIOLATOR: Time and Amount - Any <br />operator or owner of a vehicle for which a citation has <br />been issued shall pay a penalty in the amount designated <br />by the following schedule in full satisfaction of such <br />violation: <br />Schedule <br />If paid within Amount <br />24 hours 500 <br />10 days $1.00 <br />30 days $5.00 <br />Sec. 6245 MANNER OF PAYMENT: Said payment may be made <br />through receptacles designated for such purpose located <br />within the metered area of the City or in person to the <br />City Treasurer, City Hall, Vine and Cajon Streets, Redlands <br />or by mailing said penalty to above City Treasurer. <br />Sec. 6246 NON-PAYMENT: The failure of such owner or <br />operator to pay said penalty within thirty days (30 days) <br />shall subject such owner or operator to the misdemeanor <br />penalty provided for the violations of the provisions of <br />this Oode. <br />SECTION TWO: That the Redlands Ordinance Code shall be amended <br />by adding Article 627, to read as follows: <br />ARTICLE 627 <br />Parking Meter Hoods <br />Sec. 6271 AUTHORIZATION FOR USE: The City Treasurer <br />is authorized to secure hoods to such specifications <br />as he deems necessary to completely cover a parking <br />meter head and to lease at the rental charges herein- <br />after specified. The use of such hoods shall be limited <br />to those meters adjusted to record ten (10) hours parking <br />time located on a City Parking Lot. <br />Sec. 6272 HOURS OF USE: It shall be unlawful for any <br />person having possession, charge or custody of a hood <br />to allow it to remain on any meter after 6:00 P.M. or <br />to place it on any meter prior to 6:00 A.N. of any day. <br />A hood shall not entitle the holder to any special parking <br />space but only permits the use of any available space <br />without depositing coins in the meter. <br />Sec. 6273 HOODS NOT TRANSFERABLE: Parking hoods leased <br />pursuant to the provisions of this Article shall not be <br />transferable and shall be valid only for the vehicle <br />bearing the license number appearing on the "Application <br />for Meter Hood". <br />Sec. 6274 MONTHLY RENT AND HOOD DEPOSIT: Every person, <br />firm or corporation leasing a Parking Meter Hood shall pay <br />in advance, a rental charge of three dollars and fifty cents <br />($3.50) for each calendar month or fraction thereof that the <br />hood is charged out to him. A deposit of five dollars ($5.00) <br />shall be required for each hood leased under the provisions of <br />this Article. Deposits shall be refunded only when the hood, <br />lock and key are surrendered to the City Treasurer's Office <br />in good condition, excepting normal wear and tear of usage, <br />and all fees are paid to date of surrender. <br />
