PUBLIC PLACES TREES Art. 736 ARTICLE 736 Park Commission § 73600. PARK COMMISSION ESTABLISHED. A Park Commission is hereby created and established to act as an advisory board to the City Council of the City of Redlands for the purpose of making recommendations concerning parks, parkways and street trees. (1013) § 73601. MEMBERS The said Park Commission shall consist of nine (9) members to be appointed by the Mayor of said City, with the approval of the City Counc.il of said City, from city residents at large who are not city officials, for terms of five (5) years. (1437) § 73602. DUTIES. That the Park Commission shall consider the annual budget for parks, parkways and street tree purposes during the process of its preparation and make recommendations with respect thereto to the City Council and the City Manager. (1013) § 73603. That the Park Commission shall recom- mend to the City Council policies for the acquisition, development and improvement of narks and for the planting, care and removal of trees and shrubs in all parks and streets. (1013) § 73604. That the Park Commission shall per- form such other duties as may be prescribed by ordinance not inconsistent with the provisions of this Chapter. (1013) § 73605. PARK SUPERINTENDENT EX-'0FFTCIO MEMBER. The Park Superintendent of the City of Redlands by virtue of his office shall be an ex-offici.o member of the Park Commission, and shall attend all meetings and serve in an advisory capacity to said committee. (1013) § 73606, CHAIRMAN. The Park Commission shall immediately upon its appointment, organize and elect a chairman for the term of one (1) year, and such other officers as the Commission may deem advisable, and shall make such necessary rules and regulat.ic,n.s as is necessary to fulfill the obligations and duties of their core rii sion .
