PUBLIC PLACES TREES Art. 736 <br />ARTICLE 736 <br />Park Commission <br />§ 73600. PARK COMMISSION ESTABLISHED. A Park <br />Commission is hereby created and established to act as an <br />advisory board to the City Council of the City of Redlands <br />for the purpose of making recommendations concerning parks, <br />parkways and street trees. (1013) <br />§ 73601. MEMBERS The said Park Commission <br />shall consist of nine (9) members to be appointed by the <br />Mayor of said City, with the approval of the City Counc.il <br />of said City, from city residents at large who are not city <br />officials, for terms of five (5) years. (1437) <br />§ 73602. DUTIES. That the Park Commission <br />shall consider the annual budget for parks, parkways and <br />street tree purposes during the process of its preparation <br />and make recommendations with respect thereto to the City <br />Council and the City Manager. (1013) <br />§ 73603. That the Park Commission shall recom- <br />mend to the City Council policies for the acquisition, <br />development and improvement of narks and for the planting, <br />care and removal of trees and shrubs in all parks and <br />streets. (1013) <br />§ 73604. That the Park Commission shall per- <br />form such other duties as may be prescribed by ordinance <br />not inconsistent with the provisions of this Chapter. <br />(1013) <br />§ 73605. PARK SUPERINTENDENT EX-'0FFTCIO <br />MEMBER. The Park Superintendent of the City of Redlands <br />by virtue of his office shall be an ex-offici.o member of <br />the Park Commission, and shall attend all meetings and <br />serve in an advisory capacity to said committee. (1013) <br />§ 73606, CHAIRMAN. The Park Commission shall <br />immediately upon its appointment, organize and elect a <br />chairman for the term of one (1) year, and such other <br />officers as the Commission may deem advisable, and shall <br />make such necessary rules and regulat.ic,n.s as is necessary <br />to fulfill the obligations and duties of their core rii sion . <br />(1013) <br />4/20/71 <br />
