RESOLUTION NO. 8715 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br />AUTHORIZING THE GRANT ACCEPTANCE AND EXECUTION OF THE <br />GRANT FUNDS FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE 2025-26 PROGRAM <br />YEAR <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redlands ("City") is eligible to receive federal funding for certain <br />community development block grants, through the County of San Bernardino Community <br />Development and Housing Department ("County"); and <br />WHEREAS, the City is a participating jurisdiction in the San Bernardino County Final <br />2025-2026 Annual Action Plan of the 2020-2025 Consolidated Plan of the HUD Housing and <br />Community Development Grant Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the County issued a Notice of Funding Availability ("NOFA") dated <br />September 24, 2024, for the 2025-2026 Community Development Block Grant Program Year <br />("CDBG"); and <br />WHEREAS, the County has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of <br />this grant program, establishing necessary procedures; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands (this "City Council") desires to <br />execute agreements with Community Based Organizations (CBOs) who submitted applications <br />for 2025-2026 CDBG Program Year to provide public services as described in the 2025-2026 <br />CDBG NOFA; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has been granted to receive a CDBG grant award of $326,470; and <br />WHEREAS, this City Council wishes to delegate authorization to execute the grant <br />agreement, subrecipient agreements, any amendments, and other related documents thereto to <br />the City Manager or his designee; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has the legal authority and is authorized to enter into a funding <br />agreement with the County of San Bernardino. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF REDLANDS, WITH <br />ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated herein by this reference. <br />Section 2. Pursuant and subject to all the terms and provisions of the County of San Bernardino <br />Community Development Block Grant Program, the City Manager of the City of Redlands, or <br />designee is hereby authorized and directed to accept funding from the County of San Bernardino <br />and take such other actions necessary to receive and administer the grant funding. <br />k\Resolutions\Res 8700-8799\8715 Development Block Grant Pmgmm 2025-26.docx-win <br />
