ORDINANCE NO.2990 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AUTHORIZING AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDLANDS AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE <br />CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Redlands to amend its <br />contract with the Board of Administration of the California Public Employees' Retirement <br />System (CaIPERS) to remove language within its contract that excludes hourly employees from <br />CaIPERS membership; and <br />WHEREAS, at its regular meeting of September 16, 2025, the City Council of the City of <br />Redlands adopted a Resolution of Intention to initiate the contract amendment process with the <br />Board of Administration of the California Public Employees' Retirement System for the above <br />stated purpose, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That an amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of <br />Redlands and the Board of Administration of the California Public Employees' Retirement <br />System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked Exhibit <br />"A," and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. <br />Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Redlands is hereby authorized, empowered, and <br />directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of said agency. <br />Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption, <br />and prior to the expiration of fourteen (14) days from the passage thereof shall be published at <br />least once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation, published and <br />circulated in the City of Redlands and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force <br />and effect. <br />Mario gaucedo,Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />e.pkie Donaldson, City Clerk <br />2990 Authorizing an amendment to the contract with CalPERS.doex-ms <br />
