RESOLUTION NO, 7617 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ALLOWING <br /> FOR USE OF AN ENGINEERING TRAFFIC STUDY FOR DETERMINATION OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEES <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 3.54 of the Redlands Municipal Code establishes Transportation <br /> Improvement Fees to implement the City's General Plan to ensure that public transportation <br /> improvements which meet City standards are available concurrent with the need caused for such <br /> facilities by new development in the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 1, 2014, the City Council adopted development in-1pact fees pursuarit <br /> to the "City of Redlands Developi-rient Impact Fee Study" dated December 12, 2013, which <br /> deten-nined an appropriate Transportation Improvement Fee as $3134.29 per trill, and <br /> WHEREAS, some development applicants prepare an engineering traffic study to <br /> determine trip generation and these studies can be used to determine the appropriate Transportation <br /> Improvement Fee to be collected by applicants for development projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 3.54.080 of the Redlands Municipal Code states Transportation Fees <br /> are to be based upon the number of vehicle trips generated by a development project. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDLANDS as follows: <br /> Section 1. The transportation system improvements fee for a non-residential project <br /> may be determined, at the discretion of the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director, by use <br /> of an approved engineering traffic study to establish trip generation specific for non-residential <br /> projects to determine Transportation Improvement Fees at the fee rate of$334.29 per trip. <br /> Section 2.
