CITY OF REDLANDS AND THE REDLANDS ASSOCIATION OF FIRE MANAGEMENT <br />EMPLOYEES SIDE LETTER OF AGREEMENT (2018) <br />This Side Letter of Agreement amending the July 1, 2018—June 30, 2023, Memorandum <br />of Understanding between the Redlands Association of Fire Management Employees <br />("RAFME") and the City of Redlands ("City") is blade and entered Into this this 15th day of <br />May, 20I 8 RAFME and the City are sometimes individually referred to herein as a "Party" and, <br />togethei, as the "Parties " <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, on Decembet 5, 2017, the Redlands Association of Fire Management <br />Employees ("RAFME") and the City agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding ("RAFME <br />MOU") foi the pet iod of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2023, and <br />WHEREAS, a dispute has at isen between the Parties with respect to Articles 5 and 8 of the <br />RAFME MOU, and <br />WHEREAS, representatives of the City and RAFME have met and conferred in good faith, <br />and now wish to resolve their dispute with respect to Articles 5 and 8 of the RAFME MOU, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, RAFME <br />and the City agree as follows <br />AGREEMENT <br />Section I Article 8 of the RAFME MOU, entitled "Vision Care," is hereby amended to read <br />as follows <br />"Effective December 1, 2017, the City agrees to contribute the entire monthly <br />premium for Association employees and their eligible dependents for a vision <br />insurance plan with Medical Eye Services, or the then -current insurance plan <br />offered to by the City to Association members Employees who retire from the City <br />and are eligible for Retiree Health pursuant to Article 7(G) (Ist paragraph only) <br />shall be eligible for lifetime vision insurance from the City for the employee and <br />eligible dependents " <br />Section 2 The following language is hereby deleted from Article 5 of the RAFME MOU <br />"Unit members shall not receive any Increase to base salary or other compensation <br />during the term of this MOU, other than those increases and compensation <br />expressly set forth in this MOU " <br />I 1ca\djm\Agreements\Side Letter of Agmt RAFME 5 10 I8.docx <br />
