RESOLUTION NO 7917 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br /> ESTABLISHING AN ALLOCATION FOR THE EXPENDITURE OF PROCEEDS FROM THE <br /> SALE OF A PORTION OF THE MULLIN GROVE (APN 0168-161-07) <br /> WHEREAS, the sale of the approximately 9 33-acre parcel, representing a portion of the <br /> Mullen. Grove ("Grove") was completed on August 3, 2018, and generated $1,896,560 in net land sale <br /> proceeds to the City, and <br /> WHEREAS, the sale of the Grove does not equate to loss of citrus acreage farmed by the City, <br /> in that the grove would be dedicated back to the City and the City's intent is to continue to farm the <br /> grove in perpetuity , and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there are no restrictions placed upon the use of land <br /> sale proceeds from grove in accordance with its original source of funds to purchase the parcel in <br /> 1999, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that deferred general fund infrastructure needs, <br /> open space funding, mitigation of the City's risk factors and other City purposes represent the highest <br /> project-based priorities with regard to the expenditure of the one-time funds resulting from the land <br /> sale proceeds, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by City Council of the City of Redlands as follows <br /> Section 1 The City Council hereby adopts the funding allocation identified in Exhibit "A," <br /> which is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference, with regard to the disposition of the <br /> proceeds of the sale of the Grove <br /> Section 2 This City Council further determines that the approval of this Resolution is exempt <br /> from review under the California Enviromriental Quality Act ("CEQA") pursuant to CEQA Guidelines <br /> section 15061(b)(3) which provides that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for <br /> causing a significant effect on the environment This City Council finds that it can be seen with <br /> certainty that there is no possibility that the approval of this Resolution may have a significant effect <br /> on the environment <br /> ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of November, 2018 <br /> P aul W Foster, Mayo r <br /> ATTEST <br /> J e Donaldson, City Clerk <br /> 1 <br /> i \Resolutions\Res 7900-7999\7917 Mullin Grove Sale Proceeds Allocation docx <br />
