AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redlands, California, owns property <br />in the City of Redlands, known as Prospect Park, and particularly <br />the 25.45 acres of orange groves (3 parcels) and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redlands is desirous of maintaining <br />the above orange groves and the marketing of the crops in the best <br />interest of the City of Redlands; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed that the United Southern <br />Citrus Gxo wers Company agrees to: <br />1) Supervise and care for the groves with diligence <br />and intelligent economic care at no per acre <br />monthly management charge, <br />2) Pay all bills for such care - i.e., cultivation, <br />irrigation, spraying and other incidental labor <br />out of their funds, <br />3) No interest charge for any outlay for such care, <br />4) Pick, pack and market the crop through Sunkist <br />Growers, Inc. with which they are affiliated; <br />deducting all advances for the grove care which <br />they have already spent and remit to the City of <br />Redlands the balance at the end of each season, <br />5) Maintain records of all expenditures for the City <br />of Redlands`inspecti.on anytime the City so desires, <br />6) Obtain advice when necessary for irrigation water <br />management, pest control and cultural practices <br />from the United States Soil Conservation Service, <br />the San Bernardino County Agricultural Department <br />and the University of California Extension Service, <br />4 <br />
